Clay Bank Ranch is a small breeding farm located in the heart of Oklahoma horse country. With distinguished Quarter Horse neighbors, such as Frank Merrill's Windward Stud, Jerry Wells Halter Champions, and trainers Todd Arvison and Doug Milholland, it has been a privilege to bring the Kiger breed into this area. We have witnessed and participated in the growth of this fabulous breed over the last ten years, and the future for the Kiger Horse is quite promising.

We produce three to four Kiger foals each year for sale to the public. We have two Kiger stallions and both are grandsons of foundation stallion Steens Kiger. From our dun and grulla broodmares we achieve foals with excellent Kiger conformation, color, and temperment.

Clay Bank Ranch supports the Steens Mountain Kiger Registry, and its effort to develop the Kiger Horse into a mainstream breed, while keeping them true to their origins. All of our foals are DNA tested and registered prior to sale. Tire-kickers and the "just-plain-curious" are more than welcome to visit. We're located just south of Wayne, Oklahoma (45 minutes south of Oklahoma City) on US 77.
Many thanks to William Hill of Ontario, Canada.
Clay Bank Ranch is honored to have provided Canada with
four of it's very first Kiger Mustangs. Other fillies
that found new homes in Canada were provided by
Kiger Mustang Ranch of Bend, Oregon.

Also, appreciation goes to Denny MacDonald,
of Tahmorrah Farms, who sent three Kigers to
Sweden in 2002. The first Kigers born in Sweden
arrived early 2003.

Eight years ago, there were only a few hundred
Kigers in existence, and only a handful of
Kigers east of the Rocky Mountains. Today,
the Kiger Mustang is located in 40 states,
as well as in Canada and Sweden.

Congratulations to Steens Vaquero, a Kiger
Mustang who won the Championship in
Western Riding at the 2002 ABRA World Show.
